Hi and welcome to NetLife!  I love your title!  Do you work with interpretive staff for your "animal encounters"?

Hello back!

The Animal Encounters department is responsible for the live animal collection, exhibit hall interpretation and the interpretive guide program for teens. We are a family museum that connects people with wildlife and live animal encounters/presentations are part of the experience.

Hi Michele,

How many teens are in your program? Do they work only in the summer or all year round?

We limit the number of participants (age 12 - 16) to about 50 and usually reach capacity every year. It is a fee based-program and participants commit to a year (Jan - Dec). A large percentage of participants return each year until they age out; we also offer advanced opportunities for those 16 - 18 yrs that want to continue at the museum. It's a great program, one we are very proud of.
